Danielle Tatik

History + Theory

With over a decade of experience as a dedicated yoga practitioner, teacher, and scholar, Danielle embodies the philosophy that All Life is Yoga. To her, yoga is not just a practice—it's a way of living, a set of tools that empowers you to experience your most inspired and authentic life in every moment. Danielle’s deep reverence for the sacred teachings of yoga is matched only by the joy she finds in sharing them with others. She has studied extensively within the lineage of Jivamukti Yoga and under the guidance of teacher Nicki Doane. Her academic journey includes a Master of Arts in Theology of Yoga Studies from Loyola Marymount University, she also served as a graduate assistant in the Religious Studies department at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.

Danielle has been a registered yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance since 2010 and completed her 800-hour Jivamukti Yoga Training in 2015. Additionally, she is a certified Massage Therapist (2007) and Health Coach (2009). Danielle has brought her passion and expertise to yoga teacher trainings, universities, and exclusive corporate and VIP settings. Since 2015, she has made consistent pilgrimages to India, immersing herself in the rich traditions, culture, and mysticism at the heart of yoga's origins. Her deep spiritual journey has taken her to sacred sites around the world, where she has experienced transformative moments in the presence of inspired spiritual teachers on Maui and beyond.

As a teacher, Danielle adds an intuitive element to her teachings, tapping into the energy of the moment and her students. In a class with her, students can expect philosophical musings, accessible sequencing, hands-on assists, and a sprinkle of mysticism to tap into the energy of the moment. She stays close to the classical teachings of yoga while making them accessible to our modern life. Danielle’s approach to teaching yoga history and philosophy is both deeply rooted in tradition and refreshingly modern, offering students a relatable context that opens both the mind and heart. Her teachings invite you to explore new levels of understanding—of yourself, the world, and your practice.
